Emily & Jared's story begins back in 2021 when Jared was visiting one of his best friends, Ross, in Houston over Halloween weekend. Jared was watching Saturday college football at Bungalow when he just so happened to catch a glimpse of Emily in between plays. Emily was visiting for a surprise engagement party that was also at Bungalow. Jared had told his friends' fiance that he had spotted a cutie and she took no hesitation to meet Emily at the water station and tell her Jared's thoughts. About 10 minutes later, Emily came up to their table and introduced herself. At this point, most would say, "the rest is history."

But a challenge remained... distance. Jared and Emily spent the next half year visiting one another in Denver and in Austin to see where things would lead. After a few trips to visit Emily, Jared decided to pack up everything and leave his home, family, and friends in Colorado to take a chance on what could potentially be a once-in-a-lifetime kind of love.

Jared had to adjust to a new city, 100+ degree days, and a new job as part of this move. This was met with grace, patience, love, and understanding from Emily, which ultimately made their relationship grow even stronger.

Jared proposed to Emily on April 29th, 2023 because he knew that he had met someone that God had put in his life very intentionally, and he could not imagine spending another day of his life without her.
